Jamie | Georgetown Bridal Photographer
Jamie Ray (an amazing photographer friend from NC) and I have been trying to get together for months to do a trash the dress session with a dress she found at the Goodwill but for one reason or another, things just never worked out. Well, Jamie recently got engaged to the love of her life, Richie, and asked me to shoot her bridals with her REAL wedding dress as well as some trash the dress photos with the Goodwill dress afterwards. Who am I to turn down an opportunity to meet a beautiful internet friend and then photograph her in her wedding dress??
My photog friend, Ingrid Kaslik joined me and we headed over to Alexandria to pick Jamie up and then to drove Georgetown for the shoot. It was a cold day but Jamie was the ideal model as she stood out in the cold while we posed and photographed her. We started with her stylish veil (that SHE made!), kickin’ shoes and drop dead beautiful dress. After wards, we invited her fiance, Richie, to join us for the trash the dress segment of the shoot. We had so much fun and again, Jamie was such a trooper being out in the cold. She didn’t complain a single time and was a blast to work with. I’m bummed I can’t shoot her wedding because I was already booked but we are planning on a couple’s trash the dress/tux session after the wedding in March.
Below are just a couple of sneak peeks from the trash the dress section. We lost daylight quickly so we played with some OCF for a few minutes. If you want to see some sneak peeks of Jamie’s REAL wedding dress, email me and I will send you the password. I just don’t want her fiance sneaking peeks of her dress before the day!
Ingrid, as always, I love shooting with you and can’t wait to shoot again in the near future!
Jamie & Richie, it was a pleasure meeting the both of you face to face finally. I know you will have a lifetime of happiness with all of your beautiful children. We’ll see you again in a few months. For now, enjoy….
(if you aren’t Richie and want to see her real wedding dress images, email me!)

Sarah & Rob | Washington DC LDS Wedding Photographer
Sarah and Rob were married at the Washington DC LDS temple last week. Their special day was the first time I met them face to face and when I did, I was absolutely delighted. Before me were two beautiful people who are obviously head over heels in love with one another and they were surrounded by a small group of family and friends to share their joy. Upon meeting them, I learned that Sarah’s parents were married 33 years ago that day and at that very temple! AND Sarah wore her mother’s wedding dress as her own. I thought these three aspects of the day were just beautiful and I couldn’t help but tear up at what an amazing memory all of it would be later in life.
Did I mention Sarah was kickin’ it in red boots and purple tights?
It was quite a chilly day. With the wind, it was about 24 degrees and the wind was blowing between 15 and 25MPH! You’ll see in the photos below that it got crazy at some spots but Sarah, Rob and their family/friends were just troopers and braved it all for these shots!
Sarah & Rob, it was a pleasure meeting you both. I know that Heavenly Father is pleased and that as you live your life, you will be blessed. Your day was a very special day and I can only say that I wished we lived closer so I could get to know you both better. In the both of you, I saw sweet, special spirits. May you have a beautiful eternity together. Enjoy your sneak peeks.

Beth & Eric | Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer
My last Florida session from this past weekend…
Beth & Eric are two of the sweetest people I have met in a long time. They are completely down to earth and the type of people who would move Heaven and Earth for a friend. You can just feel how genuine and kind they are by being in their presence. We decided to shoot in the Princeton area of Orlando near the Science Center. I have always loved this little area but never got to do a session there while living in Florida so I’m glad I was able to do so this weekend. Beth and Eric are fun loving and obviously so in love which makes my job all the more amazing!
Thank you for spending your afternoon with me, Beth and Eric. I am so happy the clouds and rain stayed away! Enjoy your sneak peeks and I will see you in a few months for your Mount Dora wedding!! xoxo

Baby L | Northern Virginia Child Photographer
This session in Florida was bitter sweet for me. I’ve been photographing Baby L since she was 3 months old and now we come to her 1 year session and my last time being her photographer.
She has grown so much but her beautiful, happy spirit hasn’t changed a bit! Her eyes still mesmerize me and her giggle is absolutely infectious! She is just a doll! Lucas and Lauren, I look forward to continue watching her grow through the images you share. Enjoy your sneak peeks!

Kelli & Brandyn | Northern Virginia Couple Photographer
So you may recognize this couple from a wedding I shot in September! I flew back to Florida to finish up some sessions and their session was on the list. Kelli & Brandyn decided to do a “Day After” shoot instead of an engagement session and boy, am I glad they did! The weather was spectacular and we decided to shoot at their house. Check out the putting green in their backyard! Nice, huh? Kelli and Brandyn are two vibrant and fantastic people and I was delighted to have a chance to photograph them again!
Enjoy, Kelli and Brandyn!
