Jamie Ray (an amazing photographer friend from NC) and I have been trying to get together for months to do a trash the dress session with a dress she found at the Goodwill but for one reason or another, things just never worked out. Well, Jamie recently got engaged to the love of her life, Richie, and asked me to shoot her bridals with her REAL wedding dress as well as some trash the dress photos with the Goodwill dress afterwards. Who am I to turn down an opportunity to meet a beautiful internet friend and then photograph her in her wedding dress??
My photog friend, Ingrid Kaslik joined me and we headed over to Alexandria to pick Jamie up and then to drove Georgetown for the shoot. It was a cold day but Jamie was the ideal model as she stood out in the cold while we posed and photographed her. We started with her stylish veil (that SHE made!), kickin’ shoes and drop dead beautiful dress. After wards, we invited her fiance, Richie, to join us for the trash the dress segment of the shoot. We had so much fun and again, Jamie was such a trooper being out in the cold. She didn’t complain a single time and was a blast to work with. I’m bummed I can’t shoot her wedding because I was already booked but we are planning on a couple’s trash the dress/tux session after the wedding in March.
Below are just a couple of sneak peeks from the trash the dress section. We lost daylight quickly so we played with some OCF for a few minutes. If you want to see some sneak peeks of Jamie’s REAL wedding dress, email me and I will send you the password. I just don’t want her fiance sneaking peeks of her dress before the day!
Ingrid, as always, I love shooting with you and can’t wait to shoot again in the near future!
Jamie & Richie, it was a pleasure meeting the both of you face to face finally. I know you will have a lifetime of happiness with all of your beautiful children. We’ll see you again in a few months. For now, enjoy….
(if you aren’t Richie and want to see her real wedding dress images, email me!)
