David | Port St Lucie & West Palm Family Photographer

I have mentioned it a lot lately, but I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do what I do. Yes, I enjoy shooting and creating art, but above all else, I enjoy meeting new people and hearing a little bit about their lives…who they are…their struggles and their triumphs…their hopes and dreams…….

Marion (who has the most incredibly hair and eyes) called me out of the blue and asked me if I was able to do a last minute photo session with her and her parents. She was down visiting with them and had to return home in just a few days. It was important to her to be able to have this session done. Her father, David, has cancer. This man, this family….wow, what strength and love and determination and incredible faith. You see, this isn’t David’s first brush with cancer. In fact, it isn’t his second either…it’s his 4th. He is, in his words, a 50 year survivor of cancer. I compare him to David versus Goliath.  He’s been fighting and beating this since he was a teen. Recently, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.  I know he will continue to battle this Goliath.

As a side note, David’s beautiful wife, Nancy works for a local child abuse organization called Castle which works “to improve the quality of family life and prevent child abuse and neglect by providing community education, support and resources for parents in need of assistance on the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee County.”  This is a subject near and dear to me and I implore each of you to see what you might be able to do in your community to help prevent child abuse.

David, Nancy and Marion…it was a brief period together but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  You are such incredible, strong, and beautiful people inside and out.  I hope that your other daughter will be able to join us next time.  Enjoy your sneak peeks….

I ask each of my visitors here to pray for this family as well as other families who are facing similar situations.

From my family to yours…God Bless and Happy Easter!

Baby L | Port St Lucie Baby Photographer

If this isn’t the next Gerber baby, I don’t know who is! I was delighted to meet Baby L and her parents this past weekend. What a photogenic little princess with such a happy disposition AND she is an EXCELLENT sleeper at all of 4 months old. Let me add that I am a bit jealous of this fact but happy for Mom & Dad ;)

It was a pleasure meeting Baby L and the both of you. Enjoy the sneak peeks and I’ll see you all in a few months!

The Reunion | West Palm Beach Family Photographer

I love what I do. I truly do. Especially when I get to meet such amazing families as the one I photographed on Friday. Let me start by saying I normally do not shoot family reunions but for some reason, God was telling me that I needed to do this one and boy, am I glad I did. I met up with Dani and her ENTIRE family (her parents, her own family and 5 sisters with their families) at Jensen Beach on Friday. It was such a gorgeous day with blue skies and waters. The wind was whipping a tad but it felt so nice that we just didn’t care. I honestly fell in love with this family. Not only were each of them completely gorgeous, but they were down to earth and kind. What more could a photographer ask for?

Their quick story: The 5 sisters and families are ALL down here from Canada to help celebrate their parent’s 40 year anniversary. Mom/Grandma didn’t know they were coming until she opened the blinds to the back patio one day to find her entire family standing there smiling back at her. Dad/Grandpa had arranged the entire visit by himself since Christmas and she had no clue!! How sweet is that?

Anyway, here is a very small sneak peek with many more images to come. Thank you for allowing me to share in this reunion and anniversary celebration. You are an amazing family and as I mentioned to Dani, I wished you all lived closer as I would love to get to know each and every one of you.
